Hello, my name is Sumaiya Malik.

I’m a longtime Austinite (26 years to be exact). I write and paint. I have always painted things that impress me. Somewhere along the way, I started writing. Austin gave me the weird place to grow! I co-founded AADI (Austin Arts and Drama Initiative), and am on the Community Advisory Board of KLRU. I am also a Contributing Writer for Austin South Asian. My freelance work has been published in Austin American Statesman, Tribeza, Austin Chronicle and Edible Austin.
